Therapy to You was founded by Julie and Hayley, who trained together in person-centred counselling and hold a shared belief that counselling should be easily accessible to all. Our volunteering within the charity sector opened our eyes to the need for counselling within the home setting, whether that be us coming to you or delivering sessions online or by telephone.
Get to know us a little better....

Hi, I'm Julie! I am a person-centred counsellor with a background as a primary school teacher. My experience in education has given me a deep understanding of people, relationships, communication, emotional wellbeing and the importance of creating a safe, supportive environment where individuals feel heard and valued.
As a counsellor, I have worked with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health and emotional difficulties, including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, stress, low self-esteem, relationship issues, life changes and feelings of being overwhelmed or stuck. I have supported both male and female clients, as well as people from diverse backgrounds, experiences and walks of life.
My approach is grounded in the person-centred values of empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard. My role is not to judge, advise or direct you, but to walk alongside you as you explore your thoughts, feelings, experiences and choices at your own pace.
I have extensive experience of providing home visits, as well as telephone and online counselling. At the heart of my practice is a belief in the healing power of a genuine therapeutic relationship. I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel accepted, understood and supported.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and making the most of holidays together. I also enjoy building Lego, running, going to the gym and giving old, unloved furniture a new lease of life through upholstery. These interests help me to relax, stay active and enjoy being creative.
Hi, I'm Hayley! I am a person-centred counsellor with a background as a mental health support worker. This experience has given me a strong understanding of emotional distress, mental health challenges, and the importance of offering support that is compassionate, respectful and non-judgemental.
Similar to Julie, I have worked in a counselling capacity with clients experiencing a wide range of mental health issues and emotional difficulties. These include addiction, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, bereavement, domestic abuse, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, stress, loneliness and major life changes. I have supported both male and female clients, as well as people from diverse backgrounds, identities and life experiences.
As a person-centred therapist I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is not to judge, direct or tell you what to do. Instead, I aim to offer a safe and accepting space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, experiences and choices at your own pace.
I have extensive experience of providing home visits, as well as telephone and online counselling. I understand that accessing counselling in a traditional setting is not always easy, comfortable or practical, so I aim to offer flexible and accessible support in a way that feels right for you. My belief is that a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship can support healing, growth and self-understanding. I offer a warm, confidential space where you feel heard, valued and accepted as you work towards greater self-awareness, confidence and personal growth.
Outside of work, I enjoy building Lego and make time for regular workouts to support my wellbeing. I also love visiting theme parks, going on holidays and spending time with my family and cats! I am passionate about animal welfare and volunteer with a local cat charity in my community. These interests help me stay grounded and remind me of the importance of play, self-care, meaningful relationships and compassion - values that I bring into my work as a counsellor.
At Therapy to You, we provide a warm, confidential and compassionate counselling service specialising in home visits. We understand that attending counselling in a traditional setting is not always easy or accessible, so we bring therapy to you in the comfort and privacy of your own home, helping you to feel safer and more able to speak openly.
We offer online and telephone counselling, making support flexible and accessible. Our work is grounded in the person-centred approach, where we believe you are the expert on your own life. We offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace.
Empathy, honesty and a non-judgemental approach is at the heart of our practice. We support people experiencing a wide range of mental and emotional difficulties that affect everyday life.
